Parts permitted for use in Road Race Classes:
IMPORTANT MESSAGE - PLEASE READ. The following has been compiled from our interpretation of the aftermarket parts permitted for use in the specified classes of racing according to the information available as at Friday 5th March 2010.
While we have taken some effort to ensure the interpretation we provide is correct, please be aware that the sanctioning bodies and Promoters may change the rules, (GCR's and or Supplementary Regulations) or take a different view than us or you as to what is permissible. We stress that it is each rider's complete responsibility to ensure their machine complies with the GCR's and Supplementary Regulations for the class and type of racing they contest, the reader therefore must complete their own independent research to satisfy themselves as to what aftermarket parts are permissible. If you have any doubt regarding the interpretation below, we strongly recommend that you request further information from the Sanctioning Body for your Class of Racing prior to making any purchase.
WARNING: MOTORCYCLE RACING IS DANGERIOUS. When you complete a Race Entry Form you are signing a Legal Document, a Contract that establishes your rights and responsibilities, it also establishes the responsibilities of the event promoter as explained on the Entry Form, in the General Competition Rules (GCR's or NCR's) and in a separate document called the 'Supplementary Regulations'. By signing the Entry Form you can be irrevocably agreeing to the rules, terms and any conditions contained in all three documents.
We strongly recommend that you seek an independent legal opinion on the consequences of signing the Entry Form and accepting the Supplementary Regulations and GCR's before you sign the Entry Form.
Still want to go racing, good, read about these below:

AUSTRALIAN SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP - GCR 15.6 Superbikes.
The rules are Production based 800cc - 1000cc Four cylinder and 800cc - 1200cc Twin four stroke motors and in our view are designed to support the original Manufacturer of the Motorcycle. They do however appear to allow for both OEM part modification and the addition of aftermarket parts.
MAY BE ADDED : Steering Damper, ride height adjuster, MA Approved Fuel metering devices (possibly a Fuel Injection Mapping Trimmer after the ECU).
MUST BE ADDED : Case end covers Lightech Carbon Case covers.
MAY BE REPLACED : Brake Pads & Brake Lines, All the Bodywork including the Air Intakes but these must be the 'same shape' as OEM (does not say same size), Fairing Brackets, Fuel Tank Gas Cap, Clip ons and Master Cylinders, Brake and Clutch levers. You can fit Adjustable Rear sets and use Fairing Fasteners, Air Filters, Velocity stacks and Instruments (Dashboard), ECU and Wiring Loom. You can change the HT Leads (Coil not mentioned) and Spark plugs, battery and alternator. You can put part or all of an aftermarket Exhaust system, Change the Clutch Plates, Springs and Final drive Gearing. You can replace the Radiator overflow with a bottle (we use aluminium) and change Valve retainers, Valve Springs, Head Gaskets, Camshafts and Cam Wheels. Front Suspension must look OEM but Springs, dampers and adjusters can be changed for another. Rear Suspension appears free so it can be changed or modified. Another Radiator can be added if you do not alter the bodywork frame or existing Radiator.
MAY BE USED IF ON ANOTHER BIKE SOLD IN AUSTRALIA: Because PVM Wheels are OEM on BMW K 29 HP or BMW R1200 S HP, they can be used; go to PVM Wheels.
OEM MAY BE MODIFIED: Cam wheels can be altered or replaced to alter valve timing, you can change the water pump impeller, gear box dugs undercut, Valve seats, head ported and cleaned and piston valve recesses cut.
AUSTRALIAN SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP - GCR 15.7 Supersport 600.
The rules are Production based 600cc Four cylinder, 675cc Three cylinder and 750cc Twin four stroke motors and in our view are designed to support the original Manufacturer of the Motorcycle. This is a Production Class designed to limit improvement in performance with some part modification and aftermarket parts.
